The life and career of Actress Isabel Granada.
Isabel Granada was born on March 9, 1976 in the Philippines
as Isabel Granada VI.
Granada attended the Philippine Air Transport and Training
Services College, where she obtained her bachelor's degree in aeronautical
engineering in 2001.
She was an actress, known for Survivor Philippines (2008),
Ligaya ang itawag mo sa akin (1997) and Tisay (2016).
With the music, in 1998 Granada released the album Out Here
on My Own and in 2000 she released In the Mood for Love. She recorded an album
with songs like “Crush Na Crush Kita” (You are Really My Crush) and “Di Na
Bale” (Never Mind).
She was married to Arnel Cowley and Geryk Genasky Aguas.
Granada's first marriage was to Geryk Genasky in 2002. They eventually
separated, but their relationship produced one son, Hubert Thomas Jericho
Granada Aguas. She married Arnel Cowley in 2015, and was a stepmother to his
daughters: Sarah and Abbey Cowley.
Her other activities include attended the Champions Trophy
at the 2nd Hataw Busko Tournament (2007) organized by the Don Bosco Alumni
Association held at the Powermash badminton court located in Pasong Tamo,
Makati. She also runners-up of the Lions Club Tournament - La Union Chapter in
in Pampanga last November 2005.
On October 25, 2017, Granada fell into a coma after
experiencing six cardiac arrests while on a business trip to Qatar with her
husband. She was rushed to the Heart Hospital of the Hamad Medical Corporation
and was later transferred to Hamad General Hospital.
She had suffered from a brain hemmorrhage and aneurysm that
affected her heart. On October 27, 2017, she was declared brain dead. Granada
died on November 4, 2017, at age 41 in Doha, Qatar. Her body lay in state
November 10–11 at Santuario de San Jose in East Greenhills, Mandaluyong, and was
cremated on November 12.
As a famous actress, her death has shocked Asia, but what
she did and left behind was priceless.
